Art Exhibition
More than artwork
Each year we celebrate Joy for Seniors participants by showcasing their original works of art in an annual exhibition attended by friends, family, and community members. This culminating public showcase empowers seniors with a sense of accomplishment and generates more public awareness about the issues impacting disabled seniors in our community.
This exhibition is about more than the artwork...
It's a visible public platform for disabled seniors to feel seen and heard, in a world where they are often left feeling isolated and invisible.

Honoring Austin's Forgotten Voices
There is a gold star in the ceiling of the Capitol rotunda, representing every person who made Texas what it is today. Including our elders, quietly living out of sight, feeling isolated, forgotten, and separated from the city they helped build. This Austin, we bring their voices back to the center of Texas history.
